On March 13, 2022, the Buffalo Bills re-signed unrestricted free agent WR Isaiah McKenzie to a 2 year, $4 million contract. The first season of McKenzie’s contract carries a $1.875 million cap hit, so he will only count that much against the salary for this season. The second year of McKenzie’s deal has a $2.525 million cap hit. There is also a potential out of McKenzie’s contract after this season, saving the Bills $2.175 million and carrying a dead cap total of $300,000.
Last season, Isaiah McKenzie had 20 catches for 178 yards and 1 TD, as well as 9 rushes for 47 yards and 1 rushing TD for the Buffalo Bills. McKenzie had four catches for 48 yards and four rushes for 44 yards in the playoffs. McKenzie provides tremendous value for his production and is a steal at $1.875 million. The Bills could also save ~$2 million by cutting McKenzie next off-season.
