Buffalo Bills: Things We Know This Week
“The key is not the will to win… everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important.” – Bobby Knight
The Bills played sloppy at times. They won the game.
“Winning is the most important thing in my life, after breathing. Breathing first, winning next.” – George Steinbrenner
They only scored three points in the second half. They won the game.
“Winning takes precedence over all. There’s no gray area. No almosts.” – Kobe Bryant
They should have run more in the third and fourth quarters. They won the game.
“Winning solves everything.” – Tiger Woods
Josh Allen did not throw for 300 or 400 yards. They won the game.
“The secret to winning is constant, consistent management.” – Tom Landry

The Bills turned the ball over twice in the second half. They won the game.
I digress.
They beat Aaron Rodgers and a good Green Pay Packers team by 10 points. At no point of time were the Bills not in control of this contest. Green Bay was running the ball and playing the game as if they were up by a score.
“They say misery loves company. We could start a company and make misery. Frustrated Incorporated… Frustrated Incorporated. Put me out of my misery.” – Soul Asylum
The Pack is a frustrated team. The Packers think they should be better and they are not. They have a legendary MVP behind center and a defense loaded with first round draft picks.
“I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’” – Muhammad Ali
Buffalo has blown teams out. They have come from behind, won close ones, and lost a game they should have won. Now, they can add a 10-point win that should have been by much more to their resume.
“Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all time thing. You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.” – Vince Lombardi
The last time the Buffalo Bills were 6-1 was 1993. You know the drill. (Wave your arms up and down as Wayne and Garth reciting “doodley-do-doodley-doodley-do-doodley”…)
1993
United States President George H.W. Bush and Russian President Boris Yeltsin sign the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.
