Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Game Recap, Week 11

The Buffalo Bills, lead by a new OC, got back in the win column this week, defeating the New York Jets 32-6, improving to 6-5. Joe Brady called a fantastic game on the offensive side, and the Sean McDermott-lead defense took care of business as well. The defense had an INT and a forced fumble. Not to mention six sacks against Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle, who replaced Wilson in the third quarter. Let’s get into the nitty gritty of the game.

Joe Brady > Ken Dorsey

I said this on Twitter/X during the game, the offensive scheme is still the same. Nothing has changed besides the fact that it’s much cleaner than when Dorsey was around. We’re not stuck on throwing short outs to Dalton Kincaid or Stefon Diggs. The ball was spread around a lot better, had more chunk plays, and overall just a better variety than we’ve seen previously.

Ty Johnson revenge game!

Johnson became a factor in this offensive attack today, recording three receptions for 47 yards and one TD (on a fourth down play). On the ground, he rushed for 11 yards on three carries. He’s really trying to keep Leonard Fournette down on the practice squad.

Huge game for Rasul Douglas

Douglas forced three of Buffalo’s four turnovers (two INTs and a fumble recovery). That was Douglas’ second fumble recovery as a Buffalo Bill. (He had one last week against the Denver Broncos.) That turned our to be a great trade by Brandon Beane.

Only two big plays given up today

As much as we would like to, we can’t just discuss the good things that happened today. The Bills allowed a Breece Hall touchdown before halftime, and a fourth down conversion by the Punter, Thomas Morestead. Other than that, it was a perfect day for the team.

Injuries

Of course, the Bills didn’t get out of today’s game clean on the injury front either. The team CB Dane Jackson (head), CB Taron Johnson (concussion), S Taylor Rapp (neck), and LB Tyler Matakevich all left the game with injuries. We’ll get more updates during the week.

The Buffalo Bills head into Philadelphia next week to face the Eagles at 4:25 EST.
