Buffalo Bills Free Agent Targets (2023): WR

Published

on

NFL free agency is fast approaching. With just around two weeks to go, we’ll be taking a look at a few positions of need for the Buffalo Bills heading into free agency, and who may be available there. The Bills are currently working with $-16M in cap space and, depending on if you buy into rumors or not, have been linked to multiple players already. Just this off-season, fans have been clamoring for recently released LB Bobby Wagner, and Von Miller posted a photo of him and Derrick Henry working out together. The latter of which lead many fans on Twitter to start rumors of Derrick Henry to Buffalo. But, in this article, let’s go over some free agent WRs the Bills could target.

Odell Beckham Jr.

Yes, we’re still talking about Odell Beckham Jr. coming to Buffalo. And if you’ve been following me for the last few months, you would know how much I’d love to see this happen. The Buffalo Bills got burnt plenty of times last season by not having a true WR2 rostered. Now, you have a player like OBJ just sitting there when him and Stefon Diggs could be giving opposing defenses nightmares. Odell probably wouldn’t be extremely expensive considering he’s been out of football for over a year. But if the Bills can get the LA version of Odell, having a WR duo of him and Diggs could be exactly what Josh Allen needs.

Robert Woods

Probably not the flashiest signing, but he would probably provide the best production. Since leaving Buffalo in 2017, Woods has played for the LA Rams and the Tennessee Titans. After being released by Tennessee last week, Woods will enter free agency at almost 31 years old. Woods still has something left in the tank, and can provide a good veteran presence for Khalil Shakir and Co.

Olamide Zaccheaus

Zaccheaus, 25, has been an underrated player for the Atlanta Falcons in his four seasons. His best season came in 2022, when he recorded 40 receptions for 533 yards and three TDs. Zaccheaus is still super young and raw, so he makes sense for a Brandon Beane signing. Beane usually has a raw player or two per off-season that he brings in (last year’s was Tim Settle). Now, it could be Olamide Zaccheaus. Bringing in Zaccheaus and drafting a receiver early will give Josh Allen a pretty good WR room. Spotrac has a potential contract at 2 years/$7.5M.

Mack Hollins

Hollins was a fourth round pick in 2017 by the Philadelphia Eagles. After bouncing around the league, he broke out with the Raiders last season. In Vegas, Hollins became a nice second option to DaVante Adams. Last season, Hollins totaled 690 yards and four TDs on 57 receptions. His best game came in Week 3, where he racked up eight receptions for 158 yards and one TD against the Tennessee Titans. Spotrac has Hollins’ projected contract at one year/$2.4M.

Parris Campbell

Campbell finally broke out last season after being buried down the WR depth chart in Indianapolis. He recorded 63 receptions for 623 yards and three TDs in 2022. Campbell probably could’ve had a better season if Indy didn’t have a QB turnstile for most of the season. Now, if Campbell can go to a good team with a good QB and competent coaching staff, like the Buffalo Bills, we should really see his talent shine. Parris should be relatively cheaper as well, with his projected contract being one year/$2M (per Spotrac).

The legal tampering period begins March 13th at 12:00 EST, with free agency officially opening March 15th at 4:00 PM EST.
