Week 16 is here, and it’s time to make some money. Once again, I’m only giving out teasers and prop bets. There are a lot of good games this weekend and a lot of great teased spreads. I see a pattern. This is to take the under in games where there are at least ten cases of Covid combined between both teams.
Packers -1 and Colts +7 (Christmas Teaser)
The Packers have the Browns coming to Green Bay on Saturday. It is unknown who will be available to play for the Browns. With Covid still a problem in the Browns locker room, we are unsure who will start at some key positions. Even if all the starters play, they won’t have a full week of practice, and not many people play well coming off the Covid list. The Colts play the Cardinals on Saturday as well. The Cardinals have been struggling to win at home – having a record of 3-3. They also struggled to stop the run last week against Detriot. This should be a huge week for Jonathan Taylor. I believe the Colts win the game outright but having +7 is great.
Steelers +14.5 and Chargers -3.5
The Steelers are traveling to play the Chiefs on Sunday. The Chiefs have Covid issues and will be without their best two weapons in Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. The Chiefs are also missing key players on the other side of the ball. The Steelers should keep this a one-score game and cover a 14 point spread. The Chargers are traveling to Houston to play the Texans. The Chargers have an explosive offense and should be able to outscore the Texans and win by at least a touchdown.
Bengals +3.5 and 49ers +2.5
The Bengals play the Ravens, who they beat last time out. The Bengals have had a good pass rush all year and have had a good offense to complement that. They are top six in the NFL in defense and top nine in sacks. They will continue to pressure Lamar Jackson and make it tough for the Ravens to move the ball. The Bengals should win this game and cover the spread. The 49ers play on Thursday night and play the struggling and injured Titans. In their last four games, the Titans are 1-3 and have all their big three, Derrick Henry, Julio Jones, and AJ Brown, not playing in this game. The 49ers have run the ball at will this year and have had great offensive line play. This will continue again this week and lead to a 49ers victory.
Vikings +9 and Panthers +17
The Vikings have only played in one game that wasn’t decided by one score (week 4 against the Seahawks). Giving the Vikings 9 points at home is way too much. I don’t think the Vikings will win this game, but it will be close and will end up being within one score. The Panthers are playing the Buccaneers, who have lost almost all their weapons on offense. No, Chris Goodwin, Leonard Fournette is doubtful, Mike Evans might not play, this is all leading to the Panthers being able to keep this game close. Giving any team 17 points is a lot, especially when they are playing an injured divisional opponent .
Jets Jaguars over 3.5 field goals– A rookie QB battle and two teams that struggle to finish drives this year, should be at least 4 field goals.
Mike Williams TD – With Austin Eckler expected not to play the Chargers are going to throw the ball a little more. More down field shots and a long touchdown for Mike Williams.
Jonathan Tayler 2 total TD – The Cardinals run defense is not very good and this is going to lead to a huge day for Taylor. Expecting over 100 yards and two total TD’s.
Cordarrelle Patterson TD – Playing the Lions who don’t have a great run defense Patterson should be able to find the endzone.
