Trish’s Pants-Shittingly Rad Game Recap: Bills-Colts

Published

on

Those football blues have finally been cured. We saw some Buffalo Bills action against an actual opponent and, even though the game was close, it was exhilarating to at last have that reprieve. What a fun Saturday. So let’s get to that game recap.

1. Bills Mafia are the Ultimate 12th Man

It’s said before and I’ll say it again: No one quite does “fanning” (?) like Bills Mafia. They came out in droves and really made the place loud. So much so that they caused a false start for the Colts on their opening drive and forced them into 4th down. Amazing.

2. Buffalo Bills CB to Watch: Kaiir Elam? Nah Christian Benford

Elam has been the Bills rookie to watch through camp, and he’s more than proven his worth. But Benford has been a silent riser thus far and showed out during this game. The CB battle is really heating up. Jackson, Elam, or Benford? Time will tell, but it’s refreshing to be excited about this secondary rather than being worried about White missing time. I’m excited to see how the next couple preseason games shake out.

3. Terrel Bernard and Baylon Spector

These Bills rookies are really giving it their all. McDermott really knows how to build a culture and these linebackers are just proof of that.

Both of them made some plays and made a splash. Especially Spector who really made an impact right until the end. The Bills LB depth is in good hands.

4. Matt Araiza

I feel dirty even writing this, but this Buffalo Bills punter is (*whispers*)… somewhat decent. He launched the ball across the entire field and didn’t seem to break a sweat. Ugh. I hate this.

5. Trish’s predictions did not come true

I tried, truly. But it’s the preseason, so I can give myself a break. I’ll be better. Though I did accurately predict that Benford would stand out, so…

Final

The first preseason game is in the books, and the Buffalo Bills continued their winning streak. I’m excited for the season now, these second stringers are giving me hope.

Much like Marty McFly, Trish Patel (aka Tyler Bass Enthusiast) is a time traveller who stole a sports almanac so as to fool you mortals into believing that she can predict the stats of a game. If you come at her on social media, there is an excellent chance you'll get burnt. They don't call her @savage_trish for nothing.
