Don’t you know a rumble ain’t a rumble without me?” –Dallas Winston

When The Soc, Randy, wanted to have a heart to heart conversation with Ponyboy after Johnny killed Bob, the conversation was improbable.

“But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” –Nancy Pelosi

If we were to see Nancy Pelosi at a MAGA Rally, well, that would be odd.

“I don’t think they’ll win the Super Bowl. I don’t want them to win the Super Bowl. I don’t like the Buffalo Bills as a team, I don’t like them as people, I don’t like the city, and I don’t like their organization.”Bryan Cox

Bryan Cox stopping by Big Tree Inn in the early ‘90s for some 10 cent wings, sporting his Dolphins gear probably would turn some heads.

“If there’s a guy in the crease before the puck goes in there, the goal doesn’t count. It has happened all season long. We’re not whining, that’s the rule. To have it end that way is devastating for us.” –Jay McKee

Brett Hall popping in the Sabres locker room immediately after the “No Goal” escapade to chit chat would be poor timing.

“I want the year 2000 to be…Jerry free!” –Newman

Newman likely would not be back stage after some Seinfeld stand-up show reminiscing the deliverance of a fat guy mailman joke.

“It’s a little-known fact that the tan became popular in what is known as the bronze age.” –Cliff Claven

Sam Malone would probably not be booking a banquet room for a family function at Gary’s Old Time Tavern.

I was already on my second beer”. –Gerry Cheevers

Terry O’Reilly, Peter McNab, Mike Millbury and the 15 other Bruins players who battled the fans at Madison Square Garden probably would have not been welcome at a Rangers fan bar after the legendary brawl game in 1979.

The U.S. Express, Barry Windham, and Mike Rotunda would not be enjoying Tea and Strumpets after a bloodbath with The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff. Alright, Alright Alright, they probably did. I digress…

THE BUFFALO STANCE

Bill Belichick visited the Buffalo Bills Locker Room for quite some time after the Bills beat down the Patriots. He attained even more respect from the players. As abhorred as he is by the Bills Mafia, this was a very humble gesture exhibited by the Bills’ rival. Stay Classy.

I am semi-retired leaving my enjoyable 24 year management career due to multiple health issues. My dad retired from The Buffalo News after 49 years. I have been an avid fan for quite some time. Got that Marv Levy Fight Song In My Head for absolutely no reason.
