The Buffalo Bills finally have a legit TE2: OJ Howard

Now, before we get into it, I would like to say that I love Jelani Woods and the Buffalo Bills signing OJ Howard doesn’t change the fact they can still draft him. But this is good. Very good.

With all the hype of signing Von Miller, I’m sure many of you already forgot that Big Baller Beane did it again. He got the Bills that coveted TE2. And a legit one at that. A one year, $3.5M steal.

Howard’s History

Drafted by the Bucs in the first round of the 2017 draft, Howard was listed by many as the top tight end in that draft. Whilst he hasn’t lived up to all the grandeur, he hasn’t disappointed. In his 59 games with the Bucs, Howard amassing 1,737 yards and 15 TDs. If it wasn’t for injuries, this figure could’ve been higher.

Is he a good fit for Buffalo?

I truly believe he is the answer the Buffalo Bills have been looking for. With a change of scenery and some help from these incredible Bills coaches, Howard is going to be great here. He could get back to his form from early years. With that huge 6’6″ frame and 250lbs, OJ Howard basically the same size as Jelani Woods and slightly taller than Knox.

Howard will compliment Knox really well on this offense, and the Bills can finally run plays with more than one TE, really opening up that playbook. The Bills offence will be something different this season. I love the Miller signing, truly. But I think the Howard signing has the potential to be one of Beane’s best.

Can the season start already?

Much like Marty McFly, Trish Patel (aka Tyler Bass Enthusiast) is a time traveller who stole a sports almanac so as to fool you mortals into believing that she can predict the stats of a game. If you come at her on social media, there is an excellent chance you'll get burnt. They don't call her @savage_trish for nothing.
