On the latest Smoke Break, Z-Bot went with a historical theme. He brought two books to show-and-tell and took a look at the first 35 years of Buffalo Bills history. Let’s get into it.

The First 35 Years Of The Buffalo Bills (26:02)

After reading his favorite story, ‘If I Were A Buffalo Bill’ (11:28), Z-Bot went on to look back at the last 35 years of the Bills’ history. His primary resource? An essential anthology of this team’s past: ‘Relentless – The Hard-Hitting History of Buffalo Bills Football’ by Sal Maiorana.

From a disastrous first game against the Titans, who would go on to become the New York Jets, to the absolute demolition derby laid out in the 1991 AFC Championship game, Z-Bot talked about as much of this storied past as he could. He couldn’t touch on it all, but he highlighted some of the greatest moments this team has seen.

One of those great moments, arguably the greatest in Buffalo Bills history, came with most of the Bills’ best players off the field. We are, of course, talking about “The Comeback”. Frank Reich engineered the best comeback of all time, with a host of other backups on the field alongside him. That game, which took place in Orchard Park on a bitter January afternoon in 1993, will forever go down as one of the most iconic games in NFL history. Read about it here:

Lastly, Z-Bot changed topics and took some time to talk about last season's number one ranked Buffalo Bills defense (1:19:20). For all of that and more, check out the latest Smoke Break on the Buffalo Fanatics YouTube channel.
