Smoke Break: Buffalo Bills Schedule Review

On the latest Smoke Break Z-Bot was joined by his father, Pete, for a review of the Buffalo Bills’ schedule for the 2022 NFL season.
Early-Season Buffalo Bills Schedule Preview (29:24)
The days of being pumped about our lone Thursday Night Football matchup with the Jets are now over. In this new era of Buffalo Bills football, we’re nationally televised. It starts at the beginning of the season: Week 1, Thursday Night Football on the road against the Super Bowl champion L.A. Rams.

We follow up with a Monday Night Football game at home, as we host the AFC’s reigning #1 seeded Tennessee Titans. Double primetime to open the season, the Buffalo Bills are one of the NFL’s top dogs now. The Dolphins follow suit in week three, and we’re obviously in for a tough slog to open up the season. The Ravens come up next, with the return of a healthy Lamar Jackson and a dominant defense.
Late-Season (54:00)
After a brief stint with the Steelers, we return to Arrowhead for the fourth consecutive road matchup against the Chiefs. Then, we get a brief rest in our Week 7 bye, before we play host to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers for Sunday Night Football in Week 8. We play arguably our easiest matchup of the season in Week 9, but it’s far from a guarantee. The New York Jets have gotten a lot better since last season.
Week 10 features the Vikings coming to Buffalo, and Stefon Diggs’ first game against the team that drafted him. The ever-confounding Browns are on the docket for Week 11, before Thanksgiving Afternoon in Detroit. We follow that up with a second-consecutive Thursday, visiting the New England Patriots.
Down the stretch, three the final five games on the Buffalo Bills schedule are divisional. The Jets and Dolphins precede a Christmas Eve Matchup against the Bears in Chicago. Perhaps the most important game of our late season, we visit the Bengals for a Week 17 Monday Night Football matchup. Lastly, we host the Patriots once again to close the regular season.
