Small School Wide Receivers Buffalo Bills Fans Should Know About

Below is a list of wide receivers who most fans will have never heard of. They have done exceptional things or possess traits that could translate to the NFL and are overlooked because of their school. These players could be under-drafted/discounted come the 2019 NFL Draft but could make an impact at the next level.

Keelan Doss- UC Davis

UC Davis football is an NCAA Division 1 school in the Big Sky Conference but it is apart of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Doss absolutely dominated at UC Davis. Sophomore season, he had 911 yards and 10 TD’s earning second team all conference honors. His junior season, he compiled 1500 yards and 7 TD’s on 115 catches. As a result, Doss was a finalist for the Walter Payton FCS Award (best offensive FCS player in the nation), First Team All-American, and First Team All-Conference. He had a solid senior year as well, catching 118 balls for 1334 yards and 9 TD’s. Doss earned a 2019 Reese’s Senior Bowl invite and 2019 NFL Combine Invite where he measured 6’2″ 211 lbs. The UC Davis wideout has proved to everyone that he runs solid routes, can catch plenty of footballs, and get open while dominating his small school competition. Several websites and even some NFL articles have compared him to Cooper Kupp.

Ashton Dulin- Malone

Malone University is an NCAA Division 2 college in Ohio. In his junior season Dulin had 59 catches for 1050 yards, and 10 touchdowns. Also, Dulin added 137 yards rushing on only 14 attempts and 525 kick return yards earning him first team All Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). As a senior he was an All American and G-Mac Offensive Player of the Year. 61 catches, 984 yards, and 11 TD’s with a Division 2 leading 3 kick return TD’s were his stats. Dulin earned an NFL Combine invite where he ran an impressive 4.43 second 40 yard dash at 6’1″ 215 lbs. In addition, he set five conference records in track and was 2018 G-MAC indoor track athlete of the year. According to Playerprofiler.com Dulin has a 99th percentile college dominator rating and a 99th percentile breakout age. Ashton Dulin is an exceptional athlete who has solid hands, size and speed who could be a sleeper NFL Draft Pick.

Emmanuel Butler- Northern Arizona

Northern Arizona is a member of the Big Sky Conference of Division 1 in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Butler came into the NFL Combine at 6’3″ 217 lbs. He has had two 1000 yard seasons and one season with 15 TD’s. He has also been named a Third Team All-American as well as an All-Conference player. Butler showed great production at a young age until he had a down senior year due to a shoulder injury. On film he flashes great hands, contested catch ability downfield, and solid yards after catch ability.

Penny Hart- Georgia State

Hart doesn’t possess great size at 5’8″ 180 pounds but he is extremely fast and quick. His short yardage quickness and overall burst is what sets him apart along with his ability to change direction. He had a tremendous Freshman season hauling in 72 catches for 1109 yards and 8 TD’s while averaging 15.4 yards per reception. Hart topped these numbers his junior year having 74 catches for, 1121 yards and 8 TD’s with 15.1 yards per reception. Snubbed from the NFL Combine but invited to the 2019 Senior Bowl, Penny Hart can be a cheap, versatile speedster in the NFL.

Tyre Brady- Marshall

Brady is 6’3″ 206 lbs. Brady transferred to Marshall from Miami (FL) after his 2015 season. Marshall is known to most football fans and isn’t considered that small of a school but isn’t a Power 5 Conference school either. This has caused Brady to fly under the radar. In 2014 Brady red-shirted and was forced to sit out a year (2016) when he transferred. In 2017 he showcased himself with a 940 yard, 8 TD season despite missing two games. In his senior season, he went 71-1002-9 and was First Team all Conference USA. The Marshall receiver put his name in the conversation for a draft pick when he had a solid week at the 2019 Senior Bowl and was invited to the NFL Combine. His strengths are contested, acrobatic catches.
