Buffalo Bills Camp Storylines (3:20)
The Jordan Poyer Situation
Poyer is under contract and is a true professional, so he’s here and participating whilst seeking a new deal that his level of play warrants. We can be appreciative of that fact, but he’s still looking for a new deal. Does it get done?
The target is on the Buffalo Bills’ back, but as long as they stay focused on what they can handle and shut out the noise, they’re good to go. They deserve this credit.
Defensive Line Rotation
Rotation is important when you have depth like the Bills do now. We may not all agree on it, and it may change in late-game scenarios, but they didn’t bring all these guys in to have them beaten and broken by the time the playoffs roll around. The best ability is availability.
The State Of The AFC East
The division has gotten more competitive, but the Bills are still the top dogs. The Jets and Dolphins both made strides, and the Patriots look like the odd team out. What will the standings look like in January?
The guys went over a few more storylines – you can check them out here.
How Far We’ve Come (33:30)
The days of the “same old Bills” are definitively over by this point. From a 17-year playoff drought to the team they are today, there’s no comparison left to make. It’s a stark change of pace from the unending revolving door of coaches and supposed “cornerstones” over that span. The Bills have their head coach, GM, and franchise quarterback. They’re all here to stay, and we’re in the glory days for the first time since the early ‘90s. Bask in it, Mafia.
Rico also touched on a number of other topics from manipulating salary cap (49:22) to the quality of the roster Brandon Beane and his staff have built (55:22). For all of that and more, check out the latest episode of The Rico Report on the Buffalo Fanatics YouTube channel.
