Rico Report: Baker Mayfield, Buffalo Bills Mocks, & Some 2022 Over/Under

On the latest episode of The Rico Report, our host was joined by Z-Bot and The Rev. Together, they did some mock drafts, broke down the whole Baker Mayfield situation, played a little “Over/Under” for the Buffalo Bills 2022 season, and more. Let’s get into it.

A Baker Mayfield Breakdown (26:59)

Baker Mayfield has been in the news a lot lately, and for good reason. His team pulled the rug out from under him. They fully guaranteed a $230M deal for Deshaun Watson in a blockbuster trade. If we weren’t sure he wasn’t their guy before that, we are now. He put his body on the line, playing through severe injury, for the team he brought back from the brink of destruction. After that, Baker Mayfield was no longer the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback.

Is he right to be upset? We say absolutely. He was “done dirty”, and deserved better treatment than he got from the organization. Now, they’ve failed to find a trade partner for him, and seem to be in no rush to remedy his situation. If they were certain that he wasn’t the answer, and intended to look elsewhere, Cleveland had options. The team should have either traded him before the Watson signing, or released him to go and find a new contract. For now, we all wait to see what’s happening next. Baker Mayfield included.

Buffalo Bills: Over/Under For 2022 (58:00)

Also, the boys played a fun game of “Over/Under”, where they took a look at some metrics for the Buffalo Bills 2022 season and placed their bets on exceeding or falling short of them.
