Rated Rev: Most Under-Appreciated Bills

Published

on

Thursday’s episode of Rated Rev was a special one. He was joined by Z-Bot from Smoke Break, so we all knew that things would be great. And to prove it, the show kicked off with an all-new electric intro. As Rev said, this episode was “off the chain”.

Z-Bot’s many talents (8:06)

Bot dropped a new video to social media Wednesday, containing hand drawn drawings of every single NFL logo, not even an hour after telling Rev he was completely swamped with work. Obviously, Rev needed answers.

Quickly explaining, Z-Bot has been drawing these logos every day for the last 40 days and finally completed the body of work and compiled it into one video. He even snuck in a bonus logo. (Did you spot it?) But Bot’s not done. He’s made a deal with himself to do a logo a day until the season starts. So, make sure to follow him on TikTok (@zbotonair) where he’ll be uploading them.

Special Guest: Evan Harrington (38:16)

BF’s own Pete Rubenstein wrote an article about the OL and his projections going into the season. Rev really liked it and asked Evan his thoughts. Kromer being brought in as OL coach was huge for the struggling Buffalo Bills o-line and his relationship with Dorsey. With the depth at the position and this coaching acquisition, Evan is feeling positive on the outlook.

Bot backed this up. The Bills OL is far from being something opposing defenses fear, but they are no longer a huge red flag for this team. The starting five are pretty set and feeling confident with them.

Z-Bot Breaking News (58:10)

Bot was looking a little zoned out during all the OL discussions and the Fanatics were quick to pick up on it. So Bot dropped a bomb on why this was the case:

Taco Bell has released a Giant Cheez-It Tostada, the kicker? The Cheez-It is 16x larger than a regular sized Cheez-It.

As Bot rightly pointed out, things have been a mess recently, and there’s never been a time when the country needed a Cheez-It the size of his head more than right now.

God Bless Z-Bot, never change.

Special Guest: Kevin Guerard and Secondary Talk (1:11:50)

Kevin predicts 10 wins for the Fins, if all goes well maybe 11. Their schedule isn’t overly difficult, so it’s not unreasonable to think that. The Fins roster is really good too with some studs on defense. PFF even ranked their secondary at third in the league. Kevin agrees that it’s not a huge difference, with the Fins and Bills pretty neck and neck with their secondary players. Miami has better corners, Buffalo has better safeties.

Future of the Buffalo Bills WR Room (1:35:00)

Z-bot is not completely worried about the WR room post-Diggs. The depth currently has time to improve, but the main factor is Josh Allen. He can bring the best out of any WR, as seen with John Brown. Evan agrees, the Bills have become a destination for wide receivers in free agency and especially in their final year(s) in the league (i.e. Sanders).

Rev is a little concerned because he sees just Gabe Davis as a certainty post-Diggs. We simply just don’t know about the new guys and what they can bring to the table.

Most Under-Appreciated Bills (2:02:08)

Kev: Tremaine Edmunds

His role is huge on this defense. What he is asked to do is major and most times isn’t even discernible unless you watch the tape. If the Bills don’t want him, Kev will take him in Miami.

Evan: Devin Singletary

The Buffalo Bills may not have won the division had it not been for Singletary not finding his footing and giving that run game a spark. Evan firmly believes that Motor was a huge reason why the Bills made a run in the postseason.

Z-Bot: Matt Milano & Isaiah McKenzie

Milano is one of the best players on this defense and is a game changer for linebackers. Lil Dirty can really open up that playbook in ways most players cannot do and McDermott needs to utilize him more.

Rev: DaQuan Jones

He’s key for the defensive line. The 1T position has been a sore spot for the DL recently and, in turn, provided issues for Edmunds. If Jones can play as well as he did in Tennessee and Carolina, he can be a huge help for the DL and Edmunds.

Evan Recounts when he first met Thigh Doc (2:39:30)

This story is not for the faint of heart. In fact, I don’t even want to write it out. Please just listen to it for yourself. But be careful because, like Evan, you may be turned onto the dance and become as obsessed as him.

Much like Marty McFly, Trish Patel (aka Tyler Bass Enthusiast) is a time traveller who stole a sports almanac so as to fool you mortals into believing that she can predict the stats of a game. If you come at her on social media, there is an excellent chance you'll get burnt. They don't call her @savage_trish for nothing.
