Buffalo Bills
Week 5: NFL Best Bets

It’s Week 5 and there are a lot of good games and prop bets to explore. As always, let’s start with the Buffalo Bills game and then get into some props.
Bills -14 (-110) *Risky*
The Bills have the Steelers coming into Orchard Park on Sunday and they should, without a doubt, win this game. My only fear is that the Bills have to win by three scores and that’s a lot of points. The Steelers are starting a rookie QB in Kenny Pickett and the Bills have been very good against rookies with McDermott as coach (7-3). The Bills definitely have the fire power to cover this spread, the offense has been averaging 28.5 points per game. This bet is only risky because it’s a lot of points and the Steelers defense is still good.
Buffalo Bills Game Props
Steelers to call First Timeout (-115)
As stated above, the Steelers are starting a rookie QB this week. So, if they start with the ball, the crowd will most likely get to him. If the Steelers start on defense, the Bills offense moving the ball at will could lead to a defensive timeout as well.
Game Total Point Range: 41-50 (+190)
This should be one of those surefire bets. The Buffalo Bills have only had one game outside of this point range so far this season (the Dolphins game). The Bills offense tends to put up a decent amount of points. Also, while the Steelers offense isn’t as potent, they still have the ability to score. I expect this game to end up around 42-45 points, meaning the under hits.
Defensive or Special Teams TD: Yes (+210)
Kenny Pickett against this Bills defense is going to be a fun matchup to watch. The Bills secondary, while injured, is still playing pretty well this year. Jordan Poyer currently leads the NFL in interceptions with four. As a whole, the Bills defense has seven interceptions – averaging almost two a game, and this week should be no different. I believe Pickett turns the ball over at least twice, with one of them being a pick six.
Bets Around the NFL
Denver Broncos -3.5 (-105)
The Broncos are playing the Colts on Thursday Night Football this week and Jonathan Taylor won’t be playing due to injury. Without Taylor, the Colts offense isn’t much of a threat in my opinion. Matt Ryan doesn’t have the arm talent anymore to get it done by himself. The Broncos might not be the best team but they should be able to get the job done and cover the spread.
Detroit Lions +3 (-105)
The Lions have the best scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 35 points a game. They are playing the Patriots, who are having injury problems at the quarterback position. The Lions also tend to play in close games and cover the spread. This year, they are 3-1 against the spread. I bet Lions actually win this game, but take the points to be safe.
New York Jets +3 (+100)
The Jets are playing the Dolphins this week and, with Tua being in the concussion protocol, I think they can win this game. The Jets just got their starting QB, Zach Wilson, back last week and he looked good in a winning effort against Pittsburgh. The Dolphins defense is playing well but I don’t thinks that’s going to be enough without Tua. The Jets cover this spread with ease.
