With Emmanuel Sanders gone, Broncos wide receivers look to Cortland Sutton to lead the way. For the Bills, it will be John Brown that is looked upon to be our main guy. Two things that these guys have in common was that they were the number two player until this year. As a dedication to those number two’s in the depth chart, these are the players you might want to start this week in fantasy.
Jaylen Samuels RB Pittsburgh Steelers
With James Connor still recovering from injury, the Pittsburgh Steelers will look for the number two man in the depth chart, Jaylen Samuels, to bury the very bad Cincinnati Bengals. Samuels has looked average at best this year when he has been on the field, but a matchup against the worst defense in the NFL is a must-start for all of you. I predict a better Steelers offense in this game and overall a nice comeback for Jaylen Samuels after a poor showing against the Browns last week.
Prediction: RUSHING: 89 YDS 2TDS, RECEIVING: 25 YDS
Bo Scarbrough RB Detroit Lions
If you haven’t heard of Bo Scarbrough, well, don’t worry, no one has really. He came into his own against the Dallas Cowboys last week and rushed for a respectable 55 yards and a touchdown. Against a below-average defense like the Washington Redskins, I see Bo Scarbrough have similar numbers this week. The shifty running back out of Alabama will have another week to show that he can be even better than his 3.9-yard average.
Prediction: RUSHING: 65 YDS 1TD RECEIVING: 12 YDS
Kareem Hunt RB Cleveland Browns
So Nick Chubb is definitely the starter on the Cleveland Browns, but since Hunt has been back from his suspension, he has sparked the Browns to win two straight games. They have been using him as a catching back and even as a fullback with Chubb on the field. He makes the Browns dangerous every time he is one the field. His diversity is what makes him such a monster playmaker. This week, they play the lowly Miami Dolphins. In the two games that Hunt has been back, he has garnered decent rushing numbers (10-42 yards) and fantastic receiving numbers (13- 90 Yards). His averages on both receiving and rushing tell you that he can make plays still after being away from the game for some time. Look for him to get his first touchdown of the season in this game.
Prediction: RUSHING: 45 YDS 1TD RECEVING: 55 YDS 1TD
You are probably wondering if there is any other number 2’s that you should start, and I say yes there is, and if you have any of these or need a guy to start, here they are…
Cole Beasley WR Buffalo Bills
Jonathan Williams RB Indianapolis Colts
Jacob Hollister TE Seattle Seahawks
Zach Pascal WR Indianapolis Colts
Mason Rudolph QB Pittsburgh Steelers
Derrius Guice RB Washington Redskins
Allen Lazard WR Green Bay Packers
