This is the dreaded bye week that owners have been worried about since the schedule was released. The Bills, Chargers, Cowboys, Vikings, Steelers, Jaguars all have byes this week. There is a ton of fantasy talent among those six teams that will be on fantasy benches across many leagues.
Green Bay Offense Vs WFT Defense
What a fall from grace the WFT defense has taken so far this year. Going into the season, the defense was one of the toughest and most feared defenses on paper. Entering week 7, that could not be any further from the truth. They are near the bottom of the league against the pass and have allowed the most points per game (31 ppg). Start all your Packers, heck, go pick up a few off of waivers and fill in those voided bye spots. Aaron Rodgers and company should roll on Sunday, putting up some gaudy stats along the way. Rodgers, Devante Adams, Aaron Jones are all smash plays.
Chubba Hubbard Vs Giants Rush Defense
There are a few things that I like about this matchup for Hubbard. Matt Rhule came out this week and said he wants to fully commit to establishing the run. With Christian McCaffrey on IR now, Hubbard can practice all week with out looking over his shoulder, wonder if he is going to start this week, or if CMC will be back. The Giants are giving up an average of 137.2 yards on the ground this season. Hubbard should be able to eclipse 100 yards and find pay dirt.
Jamies Wintson & Alvin Kamara Vs Seahawks Defense
The Seahawks are in shambles. They cannot stop anyone, and frankly look lost right now on the field. The Saints are coming off of a bye, so they have had an extra week to come up with their game plan for the Seahawks. Both Kamara and Winston will have no issues scoring at will on Monday night. Yes, I know the Saints have struggled on offense to start the season, but this has all the making of a get right game for the Saints. Winston, Kamara, and a WR like Marquez Callaway are all start-able this week.
Mac Jones Vs Jets Defense
Mac Jones showed some sign of life this past week, throwing for 229 yards and two touchdowns. With the Jets coming back to town, Jones should be able to have another fine game this week. You can stream him this week with numerus QB1s on a bye. He may not lite the world on fire, but he should be able to net you close to 20 points this week in fantasy. Along those lines, start Jakobi Meyers as well. He has emerged as Jones favorite WR, and was target six times this past week, catching five of them.
Bye weeks are no fun, but everyone has to deal with it. Just do the best you can, fill in those spots with the best streamers available. Do not panic and drop someone good however, just because they are on a bye. It is one week, and those players can still help you.
