Divisional Playoffs: Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens Injury Report

Last year, Jerry Coleman was calling Buffalo the “city of losers”. Well, quoth the BillsMafia, nevermore! Now we are out here breaking droughts like folding tables. The fate train is chugging and the last stop is Tompa Bay. It’s not a dream, it’s destiny.

In regards to injuries, the Buffalo Bills suffered a blow with the loss of Zach Moss. We also had a fair share of marquee names listed this week, but all will be good to go for Saturday Night. Also, I’ll be taking a look at the Ravens’ injury situation below.

RB Zach Moss: Zach got his ankle violently twisted up last week. He was in obvious pain for a while and was eventually carted off. He clearly suffered a high ankle sprain, but it was pretty vicious, and he may have had a fracture as well. However, he didn’t have emergency surgery, so that was good to hear. He is out for the postseason but will be good to go for the offseason.

DE Darryl Johnson: No known injury on the field, Darryl was DNP all week for a ‘knee’. Based on that info, I would assume he is out. His loss will be mostly felt on Special Teams, and the fate train just picked up Trent Murphy.

Prediction: OUT

WR Cole Beasley: Cole went down with a non-contact ‘knee’ injury in the Patriots’ game in Week 16. He missed Week 17 but was able to return to the Wild Card game. He looked limited but was actually productive underneath. He will be back this week, and I think he will look sharper.

WR Stefon Diggs: Listed with an ‘oblique’ injury since last week, Diggs played through the Colts’ game seamlessly. He is still listed, but expect greatness on Saturday.

LB Tremaine Edmunds: It was a surprise to see Tremaine listed with a ‘hamstring’. Unsure when it occurred, but he played the whole game and a 100% snap count. He was limited early in the week but a FULL participant on Thursday. I’d keep an eye on this, but he will be suiting up.

DT Ed Oliver: Buffalo’s favorite cowboy was listed with an ‘ankle’ injury. He played in 51% of snaps last week, which is on the lower end of his usual playing time. However, he finished the game, and there was no clear impression that he was injured. Ed was also limited early in the week but finished the practice week in FULL. I don’t see him limited in the trenches come Saturday night.

DT Justin Zimmer: Another mystery, but Zimmer popped on the report with a ‘groin’ injury. He finished the practice week as a FULL participant. Last week, he played 28% of the snaps, which was slightly below his season regular.

K Tyler Bass: Coming onto the report midweek with a ‘hand’ injury, Left Eye Bass was listed with a ‘hand’ injury. Not sure if he punched the water cooler in practice, but at least it wasn’t his golden boot.

Milano/Brown Updates:

Matt Milano and John Brown played in 99% and 97% of snaps, respectively, last week. They are locked and loaded for the playoff run.

Baltimore Ravens:

Let’s take a quick look at who the Ravens have on the IR. The big loss was their All-Pro LT Ronnie Stanley. Also missing is their often used TE2, Nick Boyle, and Slot CB, Tavon Young.

Currently, on their injury report, they had CB Marcus Peters, OT DJ Fluker, and OLB Matthew Judon. I would expect all to play. However, I would keep an eye out on CB Peters. He was DNP for two days and finished the week as a limited participant with a ‘back’ injury. I’d expect him a little vulnerable for the Air Raid.
