Buffalo Bills Thursday Thought: Why you shouldn’t be worried about this team
Despite the loss to the Cardinals, the Buffalo Bills are right where they want to be. In control of their destiny.

It was a heartbreaking loss last Sunday in a game that Bills fans will never forget. It seemed the game was won for Buffalo. Josh Allen to Stefon Diggs on a dime to score the go-ahead touchdown with 34 seconds left. The game should have been over. Of course, this was not the case. Kyler Murray’s prayer was answered by DeAndre Hopkins to win on a Hail Mary.
Face value, it’s a loss for the Bills that puts them at 7-3, just a half-game lead on the Miami Dolphins for first place in the AFC East. However, those who watched the game, know that the Bills are a very good team that can play with anyone. This week’s Thursday Thought: Why you shouldn’t be worried about this team.
As Colin Cowherd put perfectly you can’t put Buffalo down because they lost on a miracle play. I for one couldn’t agree more. What we saw from the Bills last Sunday should be encouraging for fans. It reassures that the Bills are as good as anyone in the NFL.

The offense is getting back into a rhythm, as the passing game has looked more like what we saw the first four weeks of the season. The defense is getting healthier and playing at a much higher level recently. They’re forcing turnovers and making some key plays at key moments. This team is starting to come together in the second half of the season.
At the end of the day, this team has lost to Kansas City Chiefs, the Tennessee Titans, and the Cardinals, whose combined record is 20-7. All three of those teams are likely to make the playoffs. They have no bad losses and most importantly control their destiny in the division.
Despite how well Miami has been playing recently they have been winning in an unsustainable way. Over the past three games, they’ve had three defensive/special teams touchdowns, forced six turnovers, and have averaged 245 yards per game. On top of that, they have a rookie quarterback under center.

It’s not to take anything away from the Dolphins wins, but it’s a matter of time until they crack and lose a few games. Tua has looked good, but he’ll have a rookie game at some point this season. Ultimately, the Bills still have the upper hand over the Dolphins.
The Bills are fine. Josh Allen has been very good this season, the offense is scoring points and the defense is starting to get going. All that matters is that the Bills keep on winning and with some easier games coming up, the Bills should be able to take care of business.
