Buffalo Bills: Things We Know This Week

When the Buffalo Bills journeyed to the Garden State last month, they were in first place in the entire AFC conference. They met the Jets. They played the game. The Bills lost. They found themselves in third place in the AFC EAST.

“What’s the point of winning if you can’t humiliate the other team?” – Coach Ernie Pantusso,

The Bills went to to Beantown last Thursday. They met the Patriots. They played the game. Buffalo won. They proceed to 9-3. They find themselves in first place of the entire AFC conference once again.

 “Oooh, a completely unprovoked personal attack. I like it!” – Carla Tortelli

Has New England become a team to play when trying to find your way? Ya know. That team other teams circle on the calendar? Ya know… that team the Bills were for many of the draught years?

“What’s that? Ah, playoffs? Don’t talk about playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game.” – Jim Mora

Maybe Bill Belichick can have a public Jim Mora moment for our entertainment?

“Well, what happened was, that second game, we got our ass kicked. In the second half, we just got our ass totally kicked. We couldn’t do diddly poo offensively, we couldn’t make a first down; we couldn’t run the ball, we didn’t try to run the ball, we couldn’t complete a pass – we sucked. The second half, we sucked. We couldn’t stop the run. Every time they got the ball, they went down and got points. We got our ass totally kicked in the second half – that’s what it boiled down to. It was a horseshit performance in the second half. Horseshit. I’m totally embarrassed and totally ashamed. Coaching did a horrible job. The players did a horrible job. We got our ass kicked in that second half. It sucked. It stunk.” – Jim Mora

Does Josh Allen’s safety net Dawson Knox, who dropped his only target against the PATS, get a verbal or written warning? How about Devin Singletary, bobbled both passes thrown his way? If you work at Mooby’s and you drop a chocolate shake more than you successfully get it in the consumer’s hands, progressive discipline comes in to play.

Well, if we are distributing plaques, look no further than James Cook. The rookie ran the ball for 64 yards and caught six balls for 41 yards. Nice game kid!

Next Man Up! Von Miller will be out for the rest of the 2022 season after having surgery to repair his ACL. How very unfortunate.

Buffalo reclaimed the top seed in the conference and assumed the top spot of the AFC East. The Bills’ victory over the Pats, combined with the Jets loss to the Minnesota Vikings, Miami losing to San Francisco and KC losing to Cincinnati, all made this possible.
