Buffalo Bills: Things We Know This Week

When I listen to Bills-Talk on the radio, one would gather we are listening to conversations about the Sabres, who recently completed an eight game losing streak and are currently in Year 12 of their playoff draught. You might assume the Buffalo Bills are 3-8 as opposed to 8-3. When the Sabres were 7-3 it was considered a HOT start.

When the Bills registered wins number seven and eight (ending a two game losing streak), many have been vocal about the way the team wins games.

When the Bills were blowing teams out they were critiqued for not winning close games. Now they have.

The extremely high expectations for the Bills were set by Las Vegas, the media, and the fans many months ago. They were penciled in as the Super Bowl winner getting, there as the number one seed, hosting two playoff games after a bye week of rest and healing.

“Shufflin’ on down, doin’ it for you. We’re so bad we know we’re good. Blowin’ your mind like we knew we would. You know we’re just struttin’ for fun. Struttin’ our stuff for everyone. We’re not here to start no trouble. We’re just here to do the Super Bowl Shuffle.” –Bears Shufflin’ Crew

Winning the Super Bowl is certainly still a solid possibility. Getting the number one seed in the AFC will require an awful lot of winning, but is certainly still on the table. Winning the division will require a lot of victories as well.

Things we know about the Buffalo Bills this week

Von Miller currently leads NFL pass rushers in Pro Bowl votes. He will miss tonight’s game against New England. He is out indefinitely and will be re-evaluated in seven to ten days.

John “Smoke” Brown has been signed to the Bills practice squad. He played two seasons with Buffalo in 2019 and 2020.

Greg Rousseau has practiced fully this week and will play tonight.

Tyler Bass has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November.
