Buffalo Bills: Things We Know This Week

It’s the alluring time of the year that yardwork and household chores get put on hold… At least on Sundays, Monday nights, and Thursday nights. Later in the year, December and January, the snow shoveling may have to be delayed for Saturday games. Let’s somewhat stay in the moment Bills fans.
JOSH ALLEN
College | Reedly 2014 Wyoming 2015-2017 |
---|---|
Drafted | Round 1/Pick 7/2018 |
Many Bills fans wanted Josh Allen to play against Denver. Probably a heck of a lot of the 69,900 fans in attendance wanted to see him in person as much as possible. Many fans and radio hosts did not want Josh Allen playing at all, due to the risk of injury.
When I was discussing the topic while out the night before the game, the general consensus was to have him play one drive and have it go very well and then DONE! That was wishful thinking, fulfilling both the desires to keep Allen healthy and get him a bit of action.
Three handoffs went to Devin Singletary. Passes to Isaiah McKenzie, Stefon Diggs, and Gabe Davis were successfully executed. Davis grabbed the 28-yard touchdown pass.
A 158.3 passer rating while hitting on three of three passes for 45 yards, including a touchdown pass. Helmet off Mr. Josh Allen. You are done for the day.
CASE KEENUM
College | Houston 2006-2011 |
---|---|
Undrafted: | 2012 |
The Bills quarterbacks were all on their game. Case Keenum put on a mini clinic, completing 16 of 18 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown. He had a remarkable 129.6 passer rating.
MATT BARKLEY
College | USC 2009-2012 |
---|---|
NFL Draft: | Round 4/Pick 98/2013 |
Enter Matt Barkley. He put together seven completions on eight tosses. Figure in a 100.5 quarterback rating. You know the drill: Not too Shabby.
Things we know about the Buffalo Bills this week:
The Cody Ford questions were finally resolved. Brandon Beane traded him to the Arizona Cardinals for a fifth round pick in 2023.
The Buffalo Bills released P Matt Haack, opening up most of the action to PUNT GOD.
WR Tavon Austin was also released.
