Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills: Things We Know This Week

The Buffalo Bills have won the back to back AFC East titles in 2020 and 2021. Many are anticipating that streak continues with some consistency over the next decade.
The stand alone Buffalo 1980 division title was very memorable at the time as the Miami Dolphins almost regularly won the East.
The almost-a-dynasty team coached by Marv Levy were division champions four consecutive seasons from 1988-1991. It gets better. They grabbed the division title again in 1993 and 1995 accumulating six in eight years. Not too shabby.
Buffalo also reached the playoffs as a wildcard in 1974, 1981, 1992, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2017 and 2019.
Had it not been for the great playoff drought for most of the 21st century, the Bills would represent Buffalo well with stretches of rebuilding. That being said, the drought was the only time that it may have seemed that there was no light at the end of the tunnel.
Before the great merger of the NFL and AFL, Buffalo rocked the AFL East winning three East titles in a row from 1964 through 1966. They won the AFL Championship back to back in 1964 and 1965. They went back to the “Big Show” in 1966 and fell short to the Kansas City Chiefs. This was a different time. The only snowflakes to deal with were the ones falling from the sky. I digress…

Things we know about the Buffalo Bills this week:
Five Reasons the Bills defense will, once again, contend for number one in the NFL:
1.) Buffalo’s number one defense a season ago simply improves when Tre’Davious White returns.
2.) Two words. Von Miller
3.) Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson both excelled in this defense last time in town. The fact they know the defense already and everything about the organization, facilities, and the WNY area should not be taken lightly. Leslie Frazier is jubilant getting these two back.
4.) AJ Epenesa, Greg Rousseau, and Boogie Basham all continue their progression at their respective positions.
5.) The Bills have nine of eleven starters returning, along with many of the same coaches.
