Buffalo Bills: Things We Know This Week

The tailgating kicks off early Sunday morning (if not Saturday). High noon is the place that many begin marching in to Highmark Stadium. Why wouldn’t there be table smashing at a Cleveland Browns game? As a matter of fact, families and buddies from Painesville, Strongsville, Solon, and Akron will be joining Bills fans in mastering the art of the perfect table smash. As always, don’t take the Browns game lightly.

Something in the way, yeah. Mmm-mmm

DO NOT LOOK PAST THE DETROIT LIONS! I attended the last Thanksgiving Day Lions-Bills game at the Old Silverdome in Pontiac. The Bills trotted in with a lineup that was sprinkled with many future hall-of-famers. They lost. Ouch.

Something in the way, yeah. Mmm-mmm

Another Thursday Night game in the spotlight. This time, be prepared for the New England Patriots at GILLETTE STADIUM. Amazon Prime Time. I was going to say always a nail-biter. Then the lightbulb went off in my head reminding me of the playoff game last year. Not quite the nail-biter. Indeed.

Something in the way, yeah. Mmm-mmm

Hopefully by this point of the season, New Jersey’s finest will come in to Highmark Stadium already concerned with potentially trading one of their two sixth round picks in the next draft. Get your brooms ready as the Buffalo Bills may just sweep the Jets.

Something in the way, yeah. Mmm-mmm

To be continued…

Things we know about the Buffalo Bills this week:

100+ Bills players, coaches, and staff went to the Tops on Jefferson Avenue last Wednesday. They visited the memorial and served food to the needy. They posed for pictures and mingled with the neighborhood people. Some alumni both from the area as well as traveling from out of town were present this week to be there for the community. Bruce Smith gave one of the several memorable emotional interviews.

The Bills signed four new UDFAs: OT Will Ulmer, CB Ja’Marcus Ingram, DT Prince Emili and DT C.J. Brewer.

I am semi-retired leaving my enjoyable 24 year management career due to multiple health issues. My dad retired from The Buffalo News after 49 years. I have been an avid fan for quite some time. Got that Marv Levy Fight Song In My Head for absolutely no reason.
