“Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” – Johnny Castle
Redundant. Recapitulation. Reprise. Analogous. Akin. Facsimile. Replica. Clone. Photostat. Cognate. Consanguine. I am sure a word of such crosses your mind as you realize that the last time the Buffalo Bills were 12-3 after 15 games was 1988. You know the drill. Waive your hands like Wayne and Garth while annoyingly sounding of with “Doodley doo, Doodly Doo, Doodly Doo. This powerful exercise can enter dream segments or in this case time travel. Doodley doo…1988 but of course..
“No! Not my Jessica! Not pattycake! It can’t be! It just can’t be! Jessica’s my wife! It’s absolutely impossible! Jessica’s the love of my life. The apple of my eye. The cream in my coffee. ” -Roger Rabbit
Yep. The same year that we reviewed last week being the last time our beloved Bills were 11-3 after 14 games. I won’t back down to this challenge. I shall improvise. It will be painless as I shall keep it terse since it will be exorbitant in ensuing weeks focusing on that sublime year, 1988. “Hold on to the night. Hold on to the memory, wish that I could give you something more.” This Richard Marx ballad dominated the charts while making me nausea. My sister told me she pulled up to a traffic light in her hometown of Las Vegas. She looked over to the convertible beat up LA baron and a guy in his early 40’s was singing passionately along with his Alpine car stereo with an amplifier and speaker box blasting this manly song from 1988.

Better late than never or simply: I digress!
Things we know about the Buffalo Bills this week:
Michael Vick had praise for the Bills. “They’re a real contender on both sides of the ball. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are on the same page, and when you’re clicking like they are, you can beat anybody.”
The Bills can clinch the No. 2 seed in the AFC Sunday. How? Beat Miami. That’s it. If the Bills win they clinch the second seed giving them two home playoff games. If they lose, Cleveland knocking off Pittsburgh would secure the second seed in the AFC for the Bills. If Cleveland and Buffalo come up short, Buffalo slides in securing the 3rd seed. Not a bad place to be in while already being division champs for a couple weeks.
Cole Beasley (knee) will be out for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
Be smart Buffalo. Stay healthy. Stay healthy. Stay healthy.
Happy New Year
