Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Game Recap, James Cook

Well well well. What an amazing game in front of the home fans. Everything was clicking for the Buffalo Bills today, as they routed the Dallas Cowboys. The Bills didn’t make one mistake on offense, defense, or special teams. That may have been the most complete game we saw from them since the Miami Dolphins game. Let’s take a look at some highlights

James Cook couldn’t be stopped

From receiving, to rushing, James Cook was a monster today. 221 total yards on the day and two touchdowns. Cook finished with 25 carries, 179 rushing yards, and one TD as well as two receptions, 42 receiving yards, and one receiving TD.

Pass rush!!!

The pass rush was effective today. They recorded three sacks against Dak Prescott (Tyrel Dodson/Greg Rousseau, Jordan Phillips, Leonard Floyd) and hitting him seven times. Another fantastic day against this Dallas Cowboys offense.

Stefon Diggs

Diggs didn’t have a huge day, but if you heard what he said during the week, that didn’t matter. He said he didn’t care how many catches he had as long as the Bills were winning. Well, they won… and won by a lot. Diggs finished the day with four receptions for 48 yards on five targets.

Injury concerns

The Buffalo Bills finished the day banged up a little bit, with Sam Martin, Ty Johnson, Jordan Phillips, and Leonard Floyd leaving at some point during the game. Stefon Diggs didn’t miss any time, but he did enter the medical tent. We should get some injury updates within the next 24 hours from Sean McDermott.

Bills secondary was everywhere today

Even without Micah Hyde, the Bills secondary dominated against one of the best receiving groups in the league. Dak was held to 134 passing yards. CeeDee Lamb, their leading receiver, had just seven catches for 53 yards. There were multiple dropped INTs today by Christian Benford, Jordan Phillips, and Jordan. All around, a fantastic game for a banged up secondary.

The now8-6 Buffalo Bills go on to face the Easton Stick-led LA Chargers next Saturday night.
