Buffalo Bills Release New Stadium Renderings

Published

on

After a great deal of waiting… an absurd amount of waiting… a frankly ridiculous period of waiting, the Buffalo Bills have finally released renderings of their new stadium set to be built in Orchard Park. The project, expected to be completed in 2026, has taken another step forward. The Bills posted the images on all their platforms the morning of October 27th.

The New Stadium Renderings

Let’s start with the outside of the stadium.

The stadium will still be surrounded by parking lots, in an attempt to keep the tailgating culture of Buffalo alive. There would be a larger, improved fan experience area close to the stadium, which is likely what we’re seeing here. The modern design is reminiscent of others around the country in this new era of stadium architecture.

Now, onto the inside of the stadium.

Fans engaged in hot debate over the implementation of a roof, but the organisation settled on a raised terrace around the stadium instead. Call it a compromise, call it a solution, call it a mistake. Regardless of how you feel about it, this will reduce wind speeds within the structure and keep more fans safe and dry during severe weather that previously. Protection from the elements for fans was a key factor in their decisions.

Quick Hits

  • It will have a grass field, which is best for player safety.
  • New heating features should keep upper level fans warm during cold winter games.
  • The bowl design is set to amplify crowd noise on the field, getting Bills Mafia into the game.
  • If you zoom in, you’ll notice that the scoreboard shows the Bills leading the Jets 24-3.
  • Current season ticket holders will be receiving new information about their tickets and transfer to the new stadium as early as spring, 2023.

The Bills released the following graphic on social media alongside the released of these new stadium renderings.
