Pick 30 (Round 1): Azeez Ojulari OLB/DE – Georgia
I think one position that the Bills have missed is that of the OLB/DE position. They have had no one really to replace Lorenzo Alexander in that position with success.
The pass rush game has been inconsistent all season for the Bills. I think an edge pass rusher like Ojulari will be a key asset that the Bills don’t have right now. He might be a little undersized for the position, and some will say he is a little raw.
The rawness reminds me a lot of Tremaine Edmunds, who was quite raw coming out of college for the MLB position. The athleticism and determination are there. The speed to get to the quarterback is one of the best available in the draft.
He is a versatile player that can play the OLB position and the defensive end position opposite Jerry Hughes. He can be successful in both schemes. Tapes that I have seen of him also show that he can be decent against the run as well.
Ojulari is an elite pass rusher that will help us get to quarterbacks a bit more. Quarterbacks of Indianapolis and Kansas City just had too much time to throw, and that needs to be addressed.
