The Buffalo Bills (4-2) are on the road to take on the Indianapolis Colts (3-3) in week 8 of the Buffalo Fanatics Madden Sim. After a dominating victory over the New England Patriots last week, the Bills are looking to improve their record to 5-2 on Sunday. Here are the keys to Sunday’s game.
Get pressure on Phillip Rivers
Phill Rivers has had a surprisingly good season for the Colts thus far. At just about the midway point, Rivers has thrown for 1,494 yards, 16 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. However, the one area that the Bills could take advantage of is getting pressure on Rivers, as he’s been sacked 13 times through six games. Rivers has never been a mobile quarterback and at this stage in his career, that has never been more true. The Bills defense needs to get some pressure on Rivers.
Bills receivers vs. Colts cornerbacks
The Bills passing game has been outstanding over the past few weeks and that should continue on Sunday. Stefon Diggs and John Brown both have very favorable matchups as the Colts two outside cornerbacks are second-year player Rock Ya-Sin and the veteran Xavier Rhodes. Ya-Sin is a young player who has a bright future in the league, is still very young and inexperienced, and Rhodes has been on the decline for a few seasons. John Brown and Stefon Diggs should have plenty of opportunities in this one.
Two of the best go head to head
Two of the best middle linebackers in football will go head to head on Sunday. We’ll get to see the Bills Tremaine Edmunds and the Colts Darius Leonard. Both players have been awesome early in their careers and have developed into some of the best players at their position. It will be fun to see these two young and athletic linebackers make play after play on Sunday.
On offense, the Colts have a ton of speed at so many positions offensively. In the backfield, Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, and Jonathan Taylor bring big playability. On the perimeter T.Y. Hilton has been one of the best deep-ball receivers in football. Keelan Cole, the former Jaguar, has been their leading receiver in 2020 and is a big-play threat. The Bills will have to find a way to prevent the Colts from creating big plays.
It will be a crucial game for the Bills, who with a win, would put themselves in a great position to win the division. The Colts need this game desperately and will come out juiced up to win. They won’t want to fall below .500. When it comes down to it, The Bills are the better team and should come out of Lucas Oil Stadium with a win.
Prediction: Bills: 35 Colts: 24
