Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills 2020 Season Tables Have Been Set
Well, Bills Mafia, there it is… this is why we can never get too cocky. Nothing is ever as it seems. Ole Bill Belichick pulls off yet another good off-season right under everyone’s noses. Former MVP, Cam Newton has been signed to a 1-year, team-friendly deal with the Cheatriots. We would all be lying if we said we didn’t see this coming.

There is no way in hell that Belichick and Rob Kraft were going to risk losing face with Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer as their two options at quarterback. My guess is that one of them gave in to the pressure of the other, which makes me more hopeful for the declining future of the Patriots Front Office. However, with all things considered, We got this!
What this means for the Bills:
When this news broke late on Sunday, I will not lie to you. I was definitely worried. But now that I have had time to mull it over, it doesn’t really faze me too much. Think about it… who knows more about Cam’s strengths and weaknesses more than this Buffalo Bills team? The Bills have Newton’s former Defensive Coordinator, Sean McDermott, his former Front Office execs, Brandon Beane and Company, AND his former teammates in Vernon Butler, Mario Addison, Josh Norman and more!
The Bills have everything in place to make Cam’s life a living hell every match-up they have against each other.
Remember, Cam Newton is 0-8 in his last 8 starts; he is coming off both foot and throwing-shoulder injuries, and has a well-known tendency to be a sore loser and not the best leader when the chips are down. And also, add all those factors to the fact that he needs to learn and buy into the Patriots system in two months or less, with no prior snaps! It just doesn’t seem as alarming as everyone in the media (aka Belichick’s version of Pavlov’s Dogs) is making it out to be.
Also, Cam didn’t jump on the ball when it mattered the most, we have a quarterback that will pull out the football under a pile of defenders and fight for the first down Every. Single. Play.
The AFC East is getting strong
Do not get me wrong, I am not saying that this shouldn’t be alarming to us, Bills Mafia. Cam Newton was a former MVP and went to the Super Bowl on top of a 15-1 season back in 2015, and Belichick is the greatest coach in NFL history; but football is a team sport, and overall, the Bills have the better roster. The Patriots basically lost half of their defense to Miami, their offensive line isn’t what it used to be, they lost their Special Teams coach to the Giants, and their offensive “weapons” are not as dangerous as they were perceived to be last season.
The Bills on the other hand did the opposite. They have upgraded their defensive line, added depth in positions where it was needed (i.e., cornerback, offensive line, running back), and not to mention getting a true WR1 in Stefon Diggs! Buffalo’s roster is better from top to bottom than New England’s.
In the end, the AFC East just got a hell of a lot more interesting! Every team upgraded this off-season. Miami’s new defense looks great on paper and finally upgraded their offensive line, and the New Jersey Jets’ roster looks to be better after this year’s draft. This division is officially going to be a blood bath, and I cannot be more excited! Also, as an Alabama Alumni, seeing not one, but two Auburn pieces of garbage on one of my most hated teams in the NFL gets my blood pumping to see something great happen against them! Let’s get it Buffalo!
