Mike Edwards, Safety, Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have added to their secondary by signing safety Mike Edwards to a one-year contract. Edwards, a two-time Super Bowl champion, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to the Bills’ defense.

Mike Edwards has demonstrated his versatility and playmaking abilities. Some notable statistics include seven interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns, and 184 total tackles over four seasons with the Buccaneers.

In Edwards’ recent stint with the Chiefs he had one interception, two fumble recoveries, and 51 total tackles in 17 games.

His Week 18 fumble return touchdown highlighted his knack for being in the right place at the right time, showcasing his impact on the field.

The signing comes at a crucial time for the Bills. Edwards is expected to compete for a starting role. He could potentially fill the void left by the departure of Jordan Poyer. Along with complementing the existing talent in the Bills’ secondary.

With the NFL draft on the horizon, Edwards’ addition is a strategic move by the Buffalo Bills. This signals their commitment to a robust defense as they aim for success in the 2024 season.
