BREAKING: Bills Ink Former OT Turned Tight-End Fisher to Prove It Deal

The Bills have added what could be another weapon to their 2019 offense, adding former tackle turned tight-end Jake Fisher to a one-year deal on Friday afternoon.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Fisher signed after his workout with the Bills that took place today. Fisher will be viewed similar to Logan Thomas, who converted to a tight-end after playing quarterback for Virginia Tech.

Fisher was selected 53^rd overall by the Bengals in the 2015 NFL Draft, he has appeared in 48 games in his career with 12 starts for Cincinnati. Fisher does have a track record as a tight-end in the NFL, he has recorded two receptions in his career for 43 yards. He has exclusively played tackle over the past two seasons.

Fisher was a standout at Oregon as a left tackle. He was named first-team all-Pac-12 and was one of six semi-finalists for the Outland Trophy which is awarded to the top interior lineman in all of college football.

Fisher may prove to be a non-factor for the 2019 Buffalo Bills, but Beane and company saw enough to take a flyer and give a shot to Fisher who figures to compete for a roster spot in training camp.
