AFC East Roundup: Week 18

Published

on

Well, it’s been a somber week as a Buffalo Bills fan, and a sports fan in general. As Bills and football fans were settling in for a great matchup between two great teams, Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field due to cardiac arrest. The Bills weren’t available to media on Wednesday and held a walkthrough practice. They put out their first injury report of the week, and made some transactions as well. Looking around the AFC East, the New York Jets face the Miami Dolphins, and the Buffalo Bills face the New England Patriots.

AFC East Standings

  1. Buffalo Bills (12-3)
  2. New England Patriots (8-8)
  3. Miami Dolphins (8-8)
  4. New York Jets (7-9)

  • There has been no talk of moving this week’s Bills-Patriots matchup. It’s still on for Sunday at 1:00 PM EST.

New York Jets

  • New York Jets great Joe Klecko has been named as a Senior finalist for the Hall of Fame Class of 2023. Darrelle Revis has also been named a finalist for the Hall of Fame.
  • The Jets are sticking with QB Zach Wilson long-term. They are reportedly standing by him through “hell or high water”, per Rich Cimini. However, Joe Flacco will start this week.
  • Robert Saleh said they won’t change up who plays in their season finale Sunday to give their younger guys more reps. Saleh said he’ll play “who deserves it”.
