AFC Divisional Round Injury Report: Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Published

on

Thawed out from their historic win over the Patriots, the Buffalo Bills stampede into Kansas City with pristine health. However, there is one big elephant in the room… Where do Bills fans put their sweet potatoes when they smuggle them into the stadium?

The Chiefs currently appear to be doing well with injuries too. They have listed complimentary players, CB Rashad Fenton and RB Darrel Williams as questionable to play. It appears Fenton is a long shot, while Williams is more likely to play. RB Clyde Ewards-Helaire will be playing, and they may also have DT Khalen Saunders returning from IR as well.

Listed

DE Mario Addison

Addison was playing 55% of the Bills’ snaps in Weeks 14-18. He went down with a right shoulder injury in the 3rd quarter of the Patriots’ playoff game. It appears he sustained a dislocation of his shoulder based on the mechanism, his reaction, and the fact the training staff was performing a relocation technique on the field. Given his age and veteran leadership, Addison will be returning very quickly to play. He will likely be wearing a harness on his shoulder to avoid excessive motion. I would expect his snap count to be far less, likely in the 20-30% range.

Buffalo Bills COVID List

  • Eli Ankou placed on January 19th

*Interesting to note, the NFL announced they will no longer test unvaccinated players for the remainder of the season, unless they are symptomatic. They have already eliminated testing on vaccinated players.
