Buffalo Bills BF Madden Sim: Bills comeback to beat Cleveland 25-22

Buffalo Bills

It was a comeback victory for Buffalo on Sunday Night Football at New Era Field. The Browns played a heck of a game, with their backs against the wall. However, the Bills found a way to get a win in one of their more impressive and resilient showing of the season. The Bills record now sit at 7-2 as they head into the back nine of the season. Here are some takeaways from Sunday’s game.

Bills stay resilient

It looked bleak for the Bills in this game. Buffalo was down 16-7 at halftime and seem to have no life offensively. It felt like this would a trap game after a few tough games in the past few weeks. Yet, when no one seemed to believe, this team found a way. The culture Sean McDermott preaches was on full display on Sunday and showed why this Bills team under his direction, has changed so much.

Passing offense continues to grow

It was not Josh Allen’s craziest game on Sunday but it was one of his best games yet. He was incredibly efficient going 22 of 27 for 240 yards and three touchdowns. It was the sexiest game but this team is so talented that games like that out of Allen can lead to wins. He doesn’t need to throw for 400 yards every game for the team to win. Sunday’s game proved just that.

Tyler Bass comes in the clutch once again

Tyler Bass once again has shown that he has ice in his veins when it comes to game-winning kicks. Just like the Colts game, Bass nailed the game-winning field goal with 1:26 remaining in the game on Sunday. Despite his struggles earlier in the season, Bass has been very good for the Bills. He’s been confident and is kicking the ball well.

Bend don’t break

The Bills defense wasn’t outstanding on Sunday but the one thing they did a great job of was holding the Browns to three instead of six. The Browns settled for field goals after field goals on Sunday. If the Bills defense doesn’t hold and allowed just one more touchdown, this easily could’ve been a loss. It was impressive how the defense just kept on going at it despite getting little help from their offense for most of the game.

Running game does struggle again.

The running game was not great again for the Bills. It’s been a little frustrating to watch this team have issues in the run game as on paper they should be good. For whatever reason Brian Daboll has called a lot of delayed handoffs and draw plays that have had minimal success. The Bills should get back to downhill running plays, where they’re at their best.

The Bills will be on the road next week as they take on the (4-6) San Fransisco 49ers at Levi Stadium.
