I called it at the beginning of this season to my friends and family that Cleveland would not be as good as they look on paper. Well, I was right. Now, I am not guaranteeing a win like I did last week. This is a game that the Bills need to win, and there will be some key guys who I think will perform well and lead the Bills to a 7-2 record.
Josh Allen QB
Josh Allen probably can get listed every week for the rest of the year. He is the most important and heartbeat player for the Bills. They will go as far as Josh Allen can take them. This game against the Cleveland Browns is what you call a trap game. The Browns have playmakers on defense that can make Josh Allen a little bonkers this week. Allen hasn’t been great, but he hasn’t been bad either for the last couple of weeks. He needs to make sure he protects the ball, as he has had way too many fumbles this year. He needs to challenge the secondary a bit more with the deep ball. Hopefully, he will finally get a game where the weather can be good for Allen to go deep more. Again keep it simple, and get in the red zone. The red zone is where the Bills do their damage.
Prediction: PASSING: 18-28 220 YDS 2TD 1INT RUSHING: 24 YDS
Frank Gore RB
Last week against the Washington Redskins, it was all Devin Singletary. He was let loose, and he took advantage of that. This week, I think they will use the pounding run game with Frank Gore. Singletary will still have the touches that will be on par with Gore because Singletary will be used more in the passing game than Gore. I believe Gore will get close this week to Barry Sanders’ all-time rushing mark. If you have Gore, I think a solid touchdown day is in store for him.
Prediction: RECEIVING: 18 YDS RUSHING: 85 YDS 2TD
Jerry Hughes, DE
So last week, we went with the defensive rookie Ed Oliver to have on your fantasy team … didn’t happen. So this week, I am going with someone who is due for a great game. That man is Jerry Hughes. Hughes has been a little off this year when it comes to his stats, but I believe he will have a bounce-back game this week after getting a sack last week. Now, back to my hockey analogy, when great goal scorers go cold, they usually get frustrated or hold the stick to tight and can’t get a goal, but once one goal goes in, they start coming in bunches. I think it’s that way for Jerry Hughes who has been an elite pass rusher with great sack numbers. He got his monkey off his back last week, and now I expect them to come in bunches. Don’t let me down, Jerry…just saying!
Prediction: 4 SOLO TACKLES, 3 ASSISTED TACKLES, 2.0 SACKS
There are many other players on the Bills that will have decent games that you might want to start, list below of other players on the Bills if you have start them…
- Micah Hyde, S
- Jordan Poyer, S
- Tremaine Edmunds, LB
- John Brown, WR
- Cole Beasley WR
- Lorenzo Alexander LB
