Manny’s Fantasy Facts: Week Two Starts & Sits

Week one Starts were great, and you should have done great with them, but with the Sits, I just sucked. Yes, I will admit it. I had a horrible week with them, and I shouldn't have recommended you sit with Marcus Mariota and Austin Ekeler. So, with the rust out of the way, here are my Week Two Starts and Sits.

Be smart and start….

Ben Roethlisberger QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Last week was a tough week for the Steelers, as the New England Patriots dominated every aspect of the game against them. This week, the Steelers return home where Roethlisberger usually has better performances. The Steelers play the Seattle Seahawks this week and it should be a better matchup for Big Ben when it comes to fantasy points. Last week, the Seahawks allowed Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton to throw for over 400 yards and a couple of touchdowns at home. This bodes well for the passing game of the Steelers and equalling a big day for Big Ben.

Derrick Henry RB, Tennessee Titans

Okay, maybe the Indianapolis Colts can’t stop running backs. Maybe I got it all wrong. Last week, Los Angeles Charger running back Austin Ekeler destroyed the Colts defense. Why not ride this vulnerable defense another week and see if Derrick Henry can do it to the Colts defense as well? Henry had a solid day last week against the Cleveland Browns running for 84 yards and a score. He also added a 75 yard catch and a score as well. Look for Henry to continue that against the Colts.

IDP Start Nigel Bradham LB, Philadelphia Eagles

Nigel Bradham is 3% owned in most IDP leagues, and he is playing the Atlanta Falcons where they allow a lot of points to linebackers. Last week against a stingy Washington Redskins team, Bradham collected a decent five solo tackles and two tackle assists, which is a decent number for a linebacker. In week one, two of the three top tacklers for the Minnesota Vikings against the Atlanta Falcons were linebackers who had 6 or more solo tackles. So, pick up Bradham if you don’t have him, as I see him having a decent day.

Don’t be in the pits and sit….

Corey Davis WR, Tennessee Titans

If you have other options at wide receiver besides Corey Davis, start them! Marcus Mariota had three touchdown passes last week against the Cleveland Browns. Davis had none. Mariota had fourteen completions last week. Davis had no receptions. So, you’re wondering what Corey Davis did all game? Your guess is as good as mine. To tell you the truth, out of Mariota’s fourteen completions only four were by wide receivers. Three went to rookie A.J. Brown and one to Adam Humphries. Looks like Mariota likes them tight ends and running backs.

Mitchell Trubisky QB, Chicago Bears

I, unfortunately, own Trubisky as a fantasy quarterback, and he flopped big time in his first week. I saw him struggle mightily last week against an underrated Packers defense. He went 26 for 45, often missed receivers, struggled to extend plays, and looked mentally out of it. This week will not be easy as they roll into Denver to play the steady defense of the Broncos. Look for similar stats for Trubisky, especially if they cannot get the running game going. Broncos defensive stars Von Miller and Bradley Chubb will be hungry after their game with the Oakland Raiders. I would bench Trubisky.

IDP Sit Jaire Alexander CB, Green Bay Packers

Jaire Alexander had a decent game in week one against division rival Chicago Bears with three solo tackles, two assists, and two pass deflections. This week is a different story as the Minnesota Vikings roll into town. The reason for a sit might be the stat that Kirk Cousins had last week where attempted only ten passes. Yes, you heard right. Kirk Cousins threw ten times all game. They ran the ball hard with Dalvin Cook. Look for them to continue the same. They will try to pound a healthy Cook as much as they can, which will result with Cousins throwing less. Sit Alexander this week.

There you have it folks: my week two start and sits. Hopefully, my sits are actually sits this week. Damn you Ekeler! Reach us on twitter @BuFFanatics and @TheMightyDeol. Ask us any Fantasy questions, and although we are a Buffalo Bills page, we all want to win our fantasy leagues. So, every week, I will have some starts and sits for the PPR and the IDP players out there.
